THE DIGITAL WORK OF S SCHOMBURG
- Pixel Hypnotist
When I snap my fingers you will see 3 heads appear before you. You will feel compelled to enjoy looking at them. You may want to grow a sweet mustache of your own design. This feeling will stay with you all day. AWAKE!

- The fun never stops!
I just finished some more character art from La Republique. Originally I had estimated the game would need around 80 characters but I am leaning more towards 120. It just so happens that drawing guys with giant, weird wigs and makeup is really fun…

- Is that a swastika in your frontispiece…
or are you just happy to see me? This is a frontispiece illustration for an alternate history book by novelist Harry Turtledove. If you have ever wondered what might have happenened if SS officer, Reinhard Heydrich, had survived his 1942 assassination by Czechoslovakian rebel fighters and then gone on to lead a robust insurgency on postwar germany occupiers then this is the book for you.

- More La Republique
So I am currently creating cityscape artwork but have yet to get anything finished enough to post so in the mean time I will show off some more characters from the game.

- La Republique
Some character artwork from my latest project, La Republique. It’s a fast paced game of political intrigue, tea time etiquette, swash-buckling fun… and lots and lots of powdered wigs.

- Now entering the 3rd Dimension
My current project called for large amounts of 3D work so I am currently shoulder deep in reference material and instructional DVDs. Learning a 3D package is fun as long as you don’t mind sitting in a chair for 16 hours straight. I still have lots to learn but I am starting to get results that I don’t hate. The game I am working on calls for me to recreate 16 european cities (from the year 1750) so I am focusing mostly on structures but I have dabbled enough in more organic modeling to create this red haired boy head.

And the ginger kid

- One less monkey, jumping on the bed
After months and months of rigorous testing (or procrastination, whatever you want to call it) the website is go for launch! Mostly older work at first but I will get around to putting up new stuff very soon. This illustration was created for the Gnomon Workshop monthly forum contest. The theme was “dearly departed.”
